In america once you've obtained a massive debt, credit card companies rain credit card offers down on you. If you actually pay off all your debt, credit card companies won't touch you with a 10 foot pole. You can go forever in america just piling up more debt. That's what most people under 40 do now.

First of all, money =/= wealth. The debt I took on allowed me to make nearly 100k per year. Of course I didn't major in basket weaving, you have to pick a field of study that has jobs. Even though I am currently 124k in debt monetarily over my lifetime I will easily be wealthier than that debt more than ten-fold. Secondly, their education is not free. Somebody somewhere paid for it whether that is through taxes or government spending. It is "at no direct cost to the end consumer" i.e. the student.

It's obvious you're either too young to know how much people get paid in America depending on their job or you just don't know anything about the American job market at all. Starting salaries that high are not the norm but certainly not out of the question.

>I can pay off 124K in debt with 227 a month over ten years

What the fuck am I reading?

Let's do some math.

12 months in a year, so that is 120 payments

120 X 227 = 27,240

You aren't even somewhat close, anon.

124,000/227 = 546.2

546 / 12 = 45.5

It will literally take you over 45 years to pay off your debt, anon.

Unless you have a government job that offers college debt forgiveness or something after ten years of work.

Let's say you got that degree after 6 years of study and you started that education right after high school at the age of 18 AND immediately got into the work force and started paying your loan back right away.

18+6 = 24
24+45.5 = 69.5

You will be right before 70 years old at that rate before it is paid off.

What is the life expectancy for a man in the USA? 76.5 years of age

So if you live to the average life span of a male (unless you are white, they are dying faster because of a crazy high suicide rate in the USA for some reason these days) and you make those payments you will be able to enjoy almost a full 7 years of life without that debt hanging over your head.

Congrats on beating the system!

Get a secured credit card and wait. That's pretty much all you have to do. Hell, you can build credit with a crappy JC Penny credit card. I'm 25 and my credit score is within 20 points of 800, all I did is just make sure my cards were paid off every month and waited.

I did the same thing, but my credit score is a perfect 850. No big deal.

Just on credit cards or what? My credit history is my biggest limiting factor since it only goes back to 2011 or 2012. I did get approved for a 2.5% interest car loan though, which was nice. Credit limit is only $5500 (auto-increased, never asked for an increase, it started with $800)

Brainlet! Of course credit card companies would be more willing to shill to someone with a higher credit score. You think they want to never be paid back?

What's a good one to use?
I know since I'm in the military they waive annual fees and shot but what should I look for as far as benefits go, like cash back or travel points, etc

Not if he pays his actual 10 year payment, which would be more like 1300 bucks. He could do one better and pay twice that per month and suck it up, have that shit paid off in a few years. The interest on federal student loans accrues daily, so faster is better unlike a some other loans.

I went to some obscure euro breakfast place in Iceland and paid the equivalent of 40 dollars for avocado on toast and 2 sunny side up eggs. I would have gotten something else if there was anything other than a different combo of toast, avocado, eggs, bacon, or baked beans

Health and safety engineer, all I do is tell Pajeet to make sure to keep his safety harness buckled and then go back to my hotel room. When I get back home I have enough cash to take pretty much the rest of the year off and be a NEET.
