Why does Subway suck so much?

A sandwich requires crisps, and the biscuit is for afterwards.

Skip the chips and just eat the sandwich as your meal and the cookie for something sweet later with some tea, you fucking retard

It's cheap, it doesn't spoil very quickly, although cookies go stale it's not as bad like it is with bread. And most people like them because they're full of sugar and salt.

Subway is cheap, but only because they don't put enough filling in the sandwiches. And it got the reputation of being healthier than other fast food places because losing weight while eating small sandwiches with hardly any filling and no dressing isn't surprising now, but I guess back then it was for most people. That helped them a lot, and made it so they didn't have to keep improving too much.

>> No.8992267

What kinda fucking retard doesn't eat a sandwich with chips? And the cookie is a dessert; not a side dish, you daffy twat.

>> No.8992271

>>8992267
I like to have a small serving of chips with sandwiches sometimes, but they're mostly empty carbs with a ton of salt and the serving sizes to go with a sandwich that already isn't healthy isn't really that good. I'm fine with not having chips too if the sandwich has enough crispy vegetables on it.

>> No.8992274

>>8992271

I'm not just eating bread with nothing on it though. If you were dipping chips into a healthy and nutritious dip that would be fine too, but most people don't do that. I usually prefer to have whole grains breads anyway, when I can get them, which are a bit healthier. If I make my own bread I usually make it with milk too for a nutrition boost.

>> No.8992291

>>8992285
most of this is untrue

>> No.8992296

>>8992291
Not really. What do you think is untrue? I'm guessing it's the "whole grain bread is healthier", because everything else is personal or obvious, like dipping chips into a healthy dip makes them healthier instead of eating nothing but a bag of plain potato chips.

They had a long advertising campaign about that guy Jared losing weight because he ate a 6 inch sub with no dressings. They barely put any meat and cheese in the sub, so it's low on calories and you'll lose weight eating it for a meal. It was at a time when the majority of people were thinking all fast food was going to make you fat, so it came as a surprise. But nobody actually gets those 6 inch no dressing subs. And they don't think about the chips, cookies, and sodas.

This is what makes me mad. People complain about being fat and that they "can't do anything about it", but they chug sodas and down chips like no tomorrow. They think an entire bottle of Coke and an entire bag of potato chips have to go with every meal, even though those are the things giving out the most calories and the most sugar. Pieces of shit, all of them

I've pretty much always taken my subs with the hot sauce that is about 2 calories and without cookies. Then again I'm not a retarded fatass.

Also you can eat about 4 basic large subs with cheese, white bread, every vegetable and hot sauce every fucking day and lose weight if you're basic weight and have a job. Then again the same is true for McDonald's burgers so I have no idea how the fuck you Americans are so fat because it's definitely not the cheese in sandwiches.

The "healthy Subway" meme is retarded, and Jared is a pederast.

If you put your mind to it you could probably achieve similar results through McDonalds or Wendy's, just watch your calories.

It's all the cheap candy and soda and stuff making people overweight I guess. Not "making" but contributing. It's good that food is cheap and you can get cheeseburgers for $1, but some people just chug soda and eat handfuls of candy all day. It's harder to overconsume actual food but so easy when it's a liquid with sugar. It would help if people could just recognize proper portion sizes too. 6 ounce sodas used to be the norm, then it went up to 12, then 20, and now you can get like half a gallon of soda for $1 at some places. Which isn't bad in itself, it's better that food is cheap than unaffordable, but a lot of people just don't know what proper portions are.

Yeah you can, some guy ate Twinkies and a bunch of junk food while losing weight, just because he measured his calorie intake.

This, people would generally be less fat if they didn't have soda every day.

It boggles my mind that some people do this, and I'm a pretty pudgy guy who sits around a lot, eats lots of cookies and sweets and shit.

Mostly because the bread is awful, but the worse than supermarket tier fillings don't do a thing to improve the result.

So much this. I don't eat the shit, but when I walk by the one in Walmart the smell of their buns baking nauseates me. It baffles me how someone could make bread baking smell so horrid since my homemade smells grand.
