Painfully Spicy Foods?

Not necessarily what you're thinking.

When I was a kid and well into my teens, I loved the shit out of spicy foods, and experienced zero negative side effects.

Now I'm in my mid-20s, and even eating the most mild of spices will set my asshole on fire. What the fuck? Any other anons go through a similar change, or know how to deal with it besides abstaining?

Does it hurt your stomach as well, or just the exit hatch?

My wife had an ulcer and could not eat spicy stuff for a while, even though she loved it, the burn was just too much. Took a couple years to heal too, which sucked.

I'm 33 and have never had any problems with spicy food in that way. It does sometimes give me the hiccups though.
