Do you think that cilantro would make an okay substitute for parsley?

No, kot. Cilantro is way more intense than parsley.

No, don't fuck with cilantro at all, it's shit.
I tried to buy a parsley yesterday but the asshole wanted 4 bucks. I just took a bite and left. It was delicious. Might have to go back and buy it.

No. Totally different flavor and 50% of the population thinks it tastes like soap.

Parsley is not a strong flavor, and almost anything you're making where it's listed as an ingredient can go without it. That's what I'd suggest you do unless you feel the recipe really, really needs it.

If you need a substitute, I sometimes use dill. Another bland herb that adds a hint of green.

>> No.8932994

Noooooooo. We use it a lot in Mexican cooking...to me it'd just add a random Mexican flavor to something I probably didn't want it in like pasta. I don't think dill would work either as it adds that fresh pickle kind of flavor to stuff and wouldn't work right either if you were trying to make something like tabbouleh for example that uses a lot of parsley and mint. Also....I hate parsley. Tastes like lame and pretentious grass.

So the ol' lady wants me to cook her up some cod street tacos for dinner tonight as a Mother's Day gift. Simple enough, but I want to take the cod to the next level. She wants them baked. A bake is pretty easy; light coat of olive oil, salt and pepper.

What's a good way to take the cod to the next level?

Considering they're beef, that seems like the right amount.
