Whats a good way to trap one of the cats that roam around my neighbourhood? I want to make this chinese dish that calls for dog meat, but I like them.

Havahart trap.

Though what makes you think that cat meat is a substitute for dog? They are nothing alike.

While I have zero qualms eating any animal - I've eaten rabbit, ostrich, kangaroo, crocodile, duck, raw crickets, roasted "superworms," ants, spiders, bullfrogs, etc... - I think it's incredibly selfish and cruel to eat someone's animal companion.

I'm about to go buy some horse meat, and will also be flying to China some time this year. I would not turn down eating cat or dog. I don't rank animals hierarchically, but I'd say other peoples' pets are where you should draw the line.

Those things are great. I use them all the time to trap raccoons, it also helps you line up the perfect headshot since you can place the barrel of the gun through the cage and place it directly against their head.

Do you really need to trap it? Why not just shoot it? 22s are pretty quiet. And a good pellet gun will kill it and that is about as loud as an angel's fart.

Don't animal shelters put down heaps of animals when they get overcrowded?

Maybe you could ask them for a dead cat or dog or dumpster dive at animal shelters.

In what shithole do you live where it's OK to kill someone's pet.

How do you know it's someone's pet?
Many areas have wild cat populations now thanks to negligent owners.
Not to mention they're an invasive, non-native species that can devastate native wildlife, especially local birds.
