Ration thread?
Came across some MREs and tried one out today
Wasn't too terrible I feel like I should save the other 3 for camping.
Any other co/ck/s eat MREs or other military rations?
(Steve1989 disscussion is also welcome)

>do they sell MRE's at wal-mart?

OFC not. MREs are never sold directly to the public; they are government property. The only ones you find for sale are on the 2ndary market. They're either stolen, or they're leftovers from disaster relief that people have re-sold.

im surprised a non government company hasnt stepped up and made their own variation. lot of campers and preppers and people who would probably buy such a thing.

MREs are made by civilian contractors (Spoacko, Warnick, Ameriqual..) for the government. Those same companies do make civilian products too, they're just packaged and labeled differently.

There are plenty of camping/prep type MRE equivalents made.

I don't eat them regularly but I started to keep some for camping, hiking, and hurricane preps. I ordered a lot of different kinds of try last year and the family favorites were the Chili Mac, Feta Chicken, BBQ beef, and any of the pound cakes.
