It's good for you, the allicin will help cure what ails you. Why would anyone get triggered by that? I eat a few every so often for my general health, so what?

because of the 'burn' that people complain about. I have a high tolerance to spice.

Yea me too. I've been doing it for a while now, and I really do enjoy it. When I'm at work every now and then I will grab a small ramekin of chopped garlic from the walk-in and just down it.

I don't really consider it to be all that spicy or have a real "burn" in comparison to something that gets its heat from capsaicin. Which is great cause that means it doesn't burn on the way out either.

I like it but the after taste lasts forever and is terrible.

Used some on swollen gums or something on someone's recommendation once, holding a slice against the area, and it did wonders. Tingling burn at first but soothed pain and inflammation. I would just take a bite of garlic hold it in my mouth for a minute then eat it for a few days until it was better. Kind of came to enjoy the taste.
