Gf wants to bake more and challenge herself, so she's having me request things for her to make. She made me some banana bread (8/10) a couple days ago, and I can't think of what to request next. Not into super sweet dessert recipes, at least for now. But I'll hear it out

Bonus for use of marzipan (a.k.a. final redpill of /ck/)

Any ideas /ck/? Also general baked goods thread

Was the banana bread 8/10 or was she?

Pumpkin pie - but she has make the crust from scratch. This will give her some insight into the way custards are made, and mastering pie crust is the first step towards learning to produce make all kinds of pastries.

Banana bread was 8/10. Only complaint was that it was a little dry towards the bottom. She's more like a 8.5/10

She loves doing custards. Pumpkin pie is definitely a good one, but I won't have her do that until there's something we need a dish for. Otherwise I'd just be eating an entire pie over the course of a couple days lol

Pretzels. And I don't just mean pretzel bites and shit, full fledged twisted baked pretzels.

Try doing some pies with complicated patterns, like a herringbone pattern

Do single serving pies, like meat or fish pies.
