Why are fried pickles suddenly becoming a meme food? I'd never even heard of these until a month ago, and now I see this shit everywhere.

Way down in our Beloved Dixie, the fried pickles are a work of art comparable to Michelangelo's David. Pair them with a good 'comeback' sauce and you have a sexual and violent (in the tastiest way) meal experience.

Yeah. Gilbert (pronounced: zh-ilbare) is Bill's gentrified and slightly sissified cousin from back in Louisiana.

I'm from Mississippi. We're between Nawlins and Memphrica. So we get a little of each flavor.

wait until every place starts serving deep-fried wheels of Camembert. Restaurants all over Japan have been doing it for years now, surprised it hasn't taken off elsewhere.

In ops defense I am seeing them much more now on menu's. It's likely a result of chain restaurants and bars discovering one yet more salty tasty snack they can fry and serve to thirsty patrons to coax them into washing it down with an expensive cocktail.
