I realized when I was 26 that I could have any kind of cereal I ever wanted, that my mom would never buy for me as a kid.. Cookie Crisp. Cookies for breakfast. Tiny cookies inside of a cereal box, that were made to be poured into a bowl, drowned in milk, and eaten with a spoon.. This cereal was my unicorn.
I guess I'm glad to have finally had them, but it was not at all what I had imagined it to be.

Thing about fruits you gotta remember is that the ones were used to eating have been selectively bred over countless eras to produce distinct flavors in their range. Smaller, relatively unknown species of produce such as dragonfruit usually never have such an advantage to them so when you actually get to eat one it comes across as disappointing in comparison to the crop that's had centuries of preparation to develop their own taste
