Fry them. Optional: toss with minced garlic that has been cooked for a couple minutes in a small amount of butter.

Read the directions. Baking is only one option, and of course it'll make them super dry.

french fries are one of those foods where the homemade version is infinitely multiplicatively exponentially better than the industrial frozen one

the frozen ones are still ok if you put a bit of any sauce to make them less bland but I eat homemade fries with just salt

Homemade fries are extremely simple to do as well. I have some soaking in ice water in the fridge right now that I'll be 2 stage frying in an hour or so. Infinitely better than frozen and even a /ck/tard with a $4.00 thermometer couldn't fuck up.

Do you ice yours after frying the first time? I just set it aside for a few min while I make other shit then fry again. I find it works well for sweet potato fries, yuca, and regular russets. (I parboil, fry, wait then fry 2nd time)

You gotta deep fry.
Oven baked always turns out fucked because you have to turn evenly...no shaking and then back in. If so, two sides burnt the fuck up, two sides raw. If they made slices, you could flip accordingly...but sticks--four sides...you're fucked without a fryer of some sort. Soggy or burnt.

Honestly, I would just buy a potato and slice it up. Cheap as fuck. Slice and fry (or bake) side one and side two, accordingly. Salt, pepper, garlic, perhaps some parm on top too. Slices work out better than fries sometimes...

use a deep frier with beef fat
Fry twice
Don't over cook, fries shouldn't be brown

not that hard

Try not to use frozen fries, you can use vacuum packed ones if you're too lazy to use your own potatoes or make too much of a quantity to be bothered.
Taste way better than frozen, that's what most belgium fry joints use.
