So /ck/, why are you still making mashed potatoes when jacket potatoes are the clearly superior choice?

When making mashed potatoes, you have to:
>peel the potatoes
>cut the potatoes
>boil the potatoes
>mash the potatoes
>add milk and butter
>mix it all together

With jacket potatoes you have to:
>prick the potato with a fork
>stick it in the oven at 200 degrees C for an hour

Jacket potatoes are also
>healthier because the skin contains nutrients and fiber
>tastier
>you get to enjoy the nice crispy skin
>more versatile, you can have chilli on a jacket potato but you can't have chilli with mashed potatoes

OP here, are you faggots retarded?

Yes, I get it. You've all never heard the term jacket potato before and you're proud of your ignorance. Now stop talking about my use of jacket potato and start talking about the actual topic at hand: jacket potatoes vs. mashed potatoes

While we're on the subject, how would you rank all of the the various mainstream toppings/seasonings that baked potatoes get molested by?
>Salt/Pepper
>Garlic
>Butter
>Sour Cream
>Cheese
>Bacon
>Chives

Also do you have any uncommon ingredients you like to top yours with like various peppers, olives, seafood, beans, etc.?

ATK just redid their baked potato recipe for the 2017 season using a salt brine and a few other modifications to address this (also temperature testing the potatoes liek you would a turkey to between 205 & 212 °F:

why are you lying?
you don't have to peel them, you don't have to cut them either.
also mashed potatoes taste better than "jacket potatoes" if you don't add a sauce or something
