I frequent a pho resurant ~2-3 times per month.
I usually tip 18% via debit card on the tablet kiosk thing they have.
Are the waitresses getting the tip i give? or should i just bring dosh? - they remember my orders and are polite so i like to give them a little something.

It's pretty tasty where i go..
I do live in a highly Vietnamese area though, so the pho here is probably a lot better than in Moldavia or wherever you live

eh. cash is better, because they won't necessarily have to declare (all of) it and so the tip will be bigger while you spend the same amount

i work at a pho place and i get paid 10 hourly. i dont keep the tip i make waiting tables but i do when i do deliveries. i make about $100 in tips biweekly.

there are 7 waiters that will make smoothies, banh mi subs, take out orders, and wait tables. not enough tips for everyone i guess.

my friends who work other places say they get paid hourly and tips.

i hate my job. u guys think i can make more somewhere else?

well just so you know i'm OP and my 18% tip is typically ~5$
I appreciate you guys serving others which is why i tip.
I know how hard it can be in the service industry, and since my parents blessed me i like to give back

not so much as a waiter- but if you're doing what the above guy described it can get difficult as you divide your time between customers and food.

it depends on the management obviously, this is a seriously stupid thread as you can't know without asking them personally

what if you're made out of pure autism and scared to talk to people outside of asking for food?
