"Avalon on the Beach", casual dining joint on the second floor of a surf club. Great view, I had a Crab Linguine which was better than I expected, light and refreshing. Good cocktails too. Bit expensive for lunch but you pay for the location I guess.

WOW. Loooser "sophisticated" faggot trying so bard. You make so much money but you can't even spend it well. guess what fucko, I work in DC and I guaranteeeeee I make more in a week than you do in a year and I love my pepperoni and pineapple pizza. I'm the real sophisticated one.

>> No.8436868

>>8436866

I am much more sophisticated than you, pleb cretin I bet your favourite pizza topping is "pepperoni" which is not even a real thing; it's a made up American "food" item that has industrial textile chemicals in it. How does it feel to be so inferior and living on your minimum wage salary while I pull big bucks at an oil drilling firm as a corporate big shot and can dine out at 5 * restaurants on a nightly basis paying hundreds of dollars for meals you could not even imagine in your dreams because of that small pea sized brain of yours? Do you even have the ability to dream? Ha. I spent $2300 on a bottle of red wine for my friends and I last night, what did you do? Probably watched cartoons and jerked off to them, loser. In fact I spend upwards of $1000/week on my own groceries because I buy only the best quality, most expensive meats, fish, vegetables, spices such as saffron , and caviar. I am very fancy and sophisticated and well above and beyond all the losers here who eat fast food. Pleb manchild tastebuds for pleb Americans who never grew up. So glad I pull major bucks in the oil industry.

The well regarded and busy Dim Sum Garden in Chinatown.

The food was great. Really great. However the fucking waitress didn't bring two dishes out that my friend ordered.
>Friend reminds her about them twice.
>30 minutes after the second reminder we are all finished eating and are full but still missing those two things (rice, soup dumplings)
>Friend called her over to say they didn't want the other two anymore, they took to long.
>Waitress says that there's nothing she can do since we already ordered.
>Claims she can't take them off the bill and has to bring them out for them to go.
>Stubborn despite our multiple protests

I tried to get him to just not leave money for those dishes since we paid by cash and leave no tip but he just gave her a shitty tip. Not my money, still annoying.

Ate at a shitty Korean karaoke place, just last night called NewKor. Me and my friend were the only people there, it was a bit spooky.
I had the spicy beef soup (yukgaejang?) and he had the 'special fried rice' which was really beautifully presented.
I didn't have high hopes, eating in a deserted restaurant, but the soup was pretty flavourful and didn't taste like it was from bouillon powder and it was pretty reasonably priced.
And their Cass beers were cheap as fuck so no complaints there.

Normally this is like the best Mexican food I've ever eaten. My girlfriend's food was fine. We also split some beef tongue tacos to try it. Those were good. My carnitas burrito supreme was not. I've gotten it before and it's been amazing. I got it on New Year's Eve so maybe they made it wrong, but the pork was not deep fried and was mainly cartilage. Still a good burrito but not if you actually ordered a pork one made a specific way. I'm still going back though because it's that good.

10/10 would recommend; Ryan Smith is a talented chef with a great team. Every dish that I ordered was expertly prepared and it had a nice atmosphere (which may or may not have been related to the "snow"storm going on atm). Definitely earned its status as best new restaurant in the U.S.; I've absolutely never had a better prepared pâté in my life. Burger lunch special. Got it to go, and even after 10-15 minutes in the Warm setting in the oven it was still a bit cold (I wonder if having to carry it home on a bike when it's 20 degrees in the sun had anything to do with that). However, pretty decent, all things considered. Salad was gross though.

Had an amazing tofu rice plate. I'm very picky with tofu and theirs is always on point. They also make the best chili oil ever. I mix it with Sriracha because it's not that spicy.
