Please talk me out of going into restaurant-business. I'm a sensitive person, I love food and cooking, but I hate tattoos and loud-ass people.

And I'm already 27yo.

Just cook at home. don't ruin the only thing you love by trying to work as a line cook. it will make you hate cooking

Pay is shit.
I've worked in James Beard award winning restaurants and graduated first of my class in culinary school.
The pay is still starting at 11 bucks. It's a shit industry

Did you enjoy your work?

You don't have to make a living from your hobby.

Most restaurant work is shit. You spend your time making food you wouldn't eat and the hours are terrible.

Work a banal 9-5. Earn 3 times as much. every evening go home and make something you're passionate about
