Do Americans eat turkey on Christmas or is it a Monkeyland-only thing?

>> No.8399604

Turkey is for thanksgiving. Good steaks or rib roast for Christmas.

Turkey is popular at Christmas because usually people have large family gatherings and a turkey can feed lots of people. Ham and roast meats are just as popular.

The non-poor Americans eat Goose.

>> No.8399628

I'm making prime rib for Christmas, and have done so for the past 5 or so years. Goose or ham (for the lazy) is more traditional; never had turkey - that's a Thanksgiving thing, and people are typically still sick of it come Christmas.

I cook 3 turkeys a month. How can anyone get sick of turkey? Are you retarded?

Unless you're smoking it, turkey is almost as boring as chicken.

I guess you just aren't very adventurous. You know a way to cook turkey and never try anything new. That would get boring, just like everything else would.
