walk out, don't pay never go back OR talk to manager to roll tape

Either way, don't pay if you don't think it's worth i

You don't have much control over what happens to her. I walked out of a chinese buffet because I found a horsefly (or some shit) in my food and didn't think about paying for a second. Point the maitredi (or however you spell that shit) to what you pointed to or said and let her know she fucked up and see if you can get a replacement.

I would bet the same thing but I've had this shit happen to me before. Not OP btw. I see the issue here as some waitresses have some snobby fucking goddamn attitude problem when it is somewhat their job to recognize what they're handing to somebody regardless of who ordered it or who cooked it.

I understand if this bullshit happens at a WaffelHouse or something where you basically accept a cheapass fucking fast-food restaurant but at a Ruby Tuesday's or TGIF you deserve better.

If you're gonna call out your waiter on bringing you something likely that the kitchen fucked up on, you better know exactly what your ordered, and it better not have been a complicated order.

Jesus fuck you people are the worst.

this.

if you order something adventurous prepare for a chance at disappointment.

however, it is a known fact that a few waiters and a lot more waitresses are absolutely terrible human beings.

This isn't food related but it is bitch in service industry related.

I once called up a book store and asked them if they currently had a copy of Brothers Karamazov. The girl asked who it was by and I said Dostoyevsky, a little surprised that someone in a book store wouldn't know. But I guess no big deal, can't expect them to know everything. She said they didn't have it. I also needed a copy of Notes from Underground so I asked what they did have of Dostoyevsky.
"We don't have anything by that author."
This didn't make sense. I suspected she was mis-spelling his name so I just asked how she was spelling the name.
[Really bluntly] "I'm spelling it the way it's spelled."
WTF?
This lead to a confused two minutes (possibly longer, it as bizarre) for me prodding her to just tell me how she was spelling and asking why she couldn't just tell me. She finally relented. She was spelling it wrong. Told her she was mistaken and spelled it out for her.
"Oh okay. So what was the first book again?"
"Brothers Karamazov."
"Okay we do have that one. Would you like me to put it aside for you?"
"No, that's okay."

What in the fuck? Why would someone act like that? How fucking fragile was her ego?

she got it half right.

"not what you ordered" implies the whole thing was wrong, not just some sides. if she gave your the stare or was rude you have the babyboomer style right to tell her she's fucking up.

Some waitresses are honestly entitled bimbo garbage with the memory of a goldfish. Most of them aren't though, most of them are cool.

Yes she gave me the stare. She also came back to the table a few minutes later and asked me if I wanted anything to drink. While I had a pitcher of water right in front of me.

It was one of the strangest experiences of my life.

I don't care if she's dumb. It's not her job to be intelligent. Her job was to assist me and produce sales for her store. She made it a totally unnecessary ordeal for what should have been a simple request simply because she was too narcissistic to be challenged, even on something so dumb. I just don't know how someone's mind operates like that in such a situation.

There's this fucking barbecue place just outside town that's so popular it's sometimes standing room only despite having the worst service. The Sunday before there I was there with my family and I ordered baked beans but got refried beans. Their refried beans are good but I wanted baked beans with my fries. The waitress told me that I'd said refried beans but she still switched them back. Then last Sunday we went back and somehow my wife's refried beans became onion rings. Same waitress.

This same restaurant, my dad refused to return to until the day he died because on his final visit with my mom the server took their order and never brought it until they were closing then told them to get out.

On another instance, my father in law was bringing a huge party there because the food was so good so I got there a little early to do my best to make it a smooth experience. Some people who were obviously friends of a waitress came in and sat at a central table so I asked them quite politely if they would change to an edge table so our party could sit together. Everyone arrived soon after and the waitress took me aside and tried to give me a stern talking to including the phrase "don't you EVER" which caused me to laugh in her face and ask her if she really wanted me to take this 15-top to another restaurant. My father in law is a huge tipper and left something like sixty bucks.

I never understand this kinda shit. Who works customer services and does this crap? Your job is to serve the customer, who gives a shit what they actually ordered. If they want you to change it just do it, arguing with them doesn't fix anything. I've worked customer service for a few years now and it's much easier to just ask them what they want and make it right in their head.

Probably a fucking teenagers. A teenagers mind and ego that doesn't give two shits about the sales they can make while they sit around at their minimum wage job. Doesn't have to be a teen tho. A lot of people making minimum in a retail environment don't, and can't really be expected to give a shit about it. Those people haven't really matured past their teens anyways, tho so not much difference.

Congratulations and welcome to earth.

When you go to a restaurant, it's actually possible to take the food outside the establishment, usually to your home. This is accomplished by the restaurant employees inserting your food into a portable container, often a paper bag or box. Then you are free to eat your food at any location that you are allowed by local law.
