I've done it to cool them quickly and forgotten about them. They are fine when they thaw and are good to take on trips as they obviously stay cold for ages

you can drink it its fine your just lucky it didnt explode inside the freezer be very careful moving these around and treat them as active bombs learn your lesson because soda does the same shit in the freezer (anything fizzy like mineral water pretty much)

If you have a big enough freezer, put the whole box of beer in the freezer. If you're buying shitty beer that comes in a closed box, of course. It keeps the beer from freezing too fast.

It's the same concept the homeless people who live in a cardboard box use.

It never tastes the same to me when it has been frozen, maybe it's the sugar/alcohol what freezes at a different temperature i'm not sure. Also the carbonization of your beer is screwed.
