What should I order? The owner of the company is paying.

Just order something that sounds good to you, but avoid anything extremely expensive. Don't take advantage of the fact that the owner is paying, because he'll notice.

The most expensive alcohol they have, double shot for a drink.

The 2 most expensive appetizers and don't offer to share.

The most expensive entree on the menu. A bottle of the most expensive wine. Again, don't share.

Screw the dirty capitalist pig for everything you can.

Middle of the road on prices. Don't order a bunch of drinks, or super expensive items. See if those next to you would like to split a starter, so that if you order one, you don't seem like a pig/make the boss feel like you are taking advantage of him.

See what others are getting. Shrimp/steak/chicken are the staple meal choices, but if you go with the most common meat among you, you will all get your portions around the same time. Othetwise you will either get your food first way ahead of the others, or after everyone else has started eating, since the chef will cook and plate things in various stages. It's not too big a deal with tepenyaki places, but it isn't fun to finish just as everyone else is finally being served, or be the last one waiting on food while everyone else wraps up theor meal.

Honestly I would order a nice drink (like a large pot of green tea) and a very cheaply priced entree. Something light.

I honestly don't like eating a bunch in important social functions. Would rather just stick to drinks so it's easier to focus on the convo.
