Why does my tea have no flavor?

I bought some of the best chinese loose leaf teas, and a proper brewing jug, use the correct temperatures and times but still can't get any flavor except bitter colored water.

What am I doing wrong?

I thought making tea was supposed to be easy.

Use more tea for stronger flavor. Bitter usually means over-steeping. You have to make adjustments for your taste.

i'll be honest with you op, all tea tastes like that if you don't dump milk/sugar/honey/other bullshit into it. just straight up, bitter colored water, as if you accidentally dropped some dirt into it.

sounds like you got shit tea. go to an all organic store of choice and find this.. should be about $100 a pound. just get a small bag of it to try, will change your life.

Make sure your brewing jug is set up right. It took me forever to figure out why my tea wasn't working and it turned out I had my brewing jug backwards.

I just dring Twinning's spearmint gunpowder and it's really good.
The thing is, it's more about the feel of the hot water that kinda feels heavier more than the taste
