Have you ever found a bug in your food?

>> No.7927201

Just once, but I dont think you'd count it
When I was young I was vacationing with family in aruba and bought a cup noodles from the store in the hotel. I opened the paper top and there were these moth like things crawling around in there. obviously didnt eat it
Aruba was a shitty little island anyways I didnt expect much

I've found gnats and shit in produce before but nothing god tier disgusting in something I was about to eat.

Once when I was at a low point with depression I left some sauce in a cockpit for a few weeks before I cleaned it.

It was literally writhing with maggots, like just a mini crock pot filled 3/4 full of maggots, pulsing at the surface like a heart.

Obviously if picked fresh from my garden. Never mind it though.

I think the worst example was I was at a local grocer and I was looking to buy some bulk trailmix or whatever. In it was dozens of little bugs in the bin.

Thankfully I haven't found evidence of bugs in any produce I purchased from the store, but I did get some worms in some tomatoes I grew one summer. That was annoying.

Just once, 1 hour ago
>office cafeteria
>thought a slice of calamari got in my soup
>upon closer inspection it looked more like a catterpillar
>lost all interest in eating
>called cafeteria head and showed it to him without saying anything
>immediately pulled out the dish that had it from the menu
I don't know how to handle shit like this.

I did this with some noodles. Over cooked them because I fell asleep and woke up too late. Turned the pot off and let the noodles sit there in the water for a week or two and a bunch of gnats showed up and laid eggs. Shit ton of mini maggots. I ended up just throwing the whole pot away because I was too depressed, lazy, and grossed out to salvage it.

Found what looked like a dead wasp on my pizza, a dead bee in a box of donuts, and a carpenter ant in a fountain drink brought out by a server.

got a pan pizza from pizza hut once. had a giant cockroach baked into the bottom of the crust. thankfully found it before eating any of it.

huge meltdown from it at the pizza hut too. sent a pic and info to corporate hq, they contacted me. told them i didn't even want a refund, just sick of the shitty way the local store operates. always slow, always getting an order wrong and now a giant roach in my food.

they called me to let me know they had the franchise owner send in cleaners and pest control. they were going to send in managers to do an inspection. i think the local manager got canned. i still haven't gone back to eating restaurant pizza. i thoroughly check regular restaurant food.

can't find the pic now. but it was a huge roach, like two inches long. baked into the bottom crust. it must have been in the pan when they put the dough in there, or crawled in while they were letting them rise. they still do that, don't they, even with the frozen dough? let them rise on racks? anyway, picked up the slice, saw the bottom with this big brown spot, looked closer and it was a giant wing. looked at slice next to it, big bug body. stomach still turns thinking of it.

I have had hair baked into the pizza but not an insect I believe. It was at a local place I like.
