It's using pureed frozen banana instead of ice cream, and though it is vegan bait, it's surprisingly good. Yo-plait makes a machine called a "Yonana"; despite seeming like (and partially being) a tacky gimmick kitchen gadget, my mother was gifted one and I played with it for a bit, with some pretty great results.
