This part is wrong.
It's a hurtful word when used spitefully by anyone to make any person feel left out. There's a lot of meaningful words in language that can be turned into mean, spiteful meanings. It's not the word that's bad, it's the people using it. Authenticity isn't a hurtful word, it's a good word, it's (some of) the people who are using it who are hurtful.
