How do I season a non-stick frying pan? I just got a new one help

Put it on high heat for about five minutes, dip some steel wool in castor oil, and rub it into the pan. Really make sure you scrub hard. After about five applications, douse it in cold water and leave it to air dry.

Test the pan to see whether it's seasoned properly, and do the entire process again if it's not.

This sounds like bait. Sounds like a good way to remove the non-stick coating.

The whole point of a non-stick pan is that you don't want to disturb it too much. Try not to scratch it either (as with all pans).
