Whenever I run out of uses for a red onion, I usually fry it like a regular onion just to be rid of it. But is there ever a time when I'd want red onions specifically for frying?

I usually just use red onions raw, but sometimes I'll caramelize them with some red wine vinegar and brown sugar if I want the color and sweetness. There isn't really a reason not to use them however you want; it's not like they're more expensive or anything, it's just a slightly different flavor.

Red onions are fucking delicious when pickled. But I digress.

I find this question infinitely perplexing, while pondering the fabric of the universe and the existence of life in all permutations bombarded by the cosmological paradox as my mind veers to the bigger question that will now plagues me for all my days of red onions....fuck you red onion...why red onion...damn you?
