Never buy home brand salsa.
Old El Paso is a good brand and you can't keep it very long after its opened or it goes mouldy.

the balance of the acidy tomatoes and the fresh sour lemon juice. also the consistency of the salsa, I like my salsa rough and square rather than a pile of mush

the key is to have a mexican make it. Just go to home depot, walmart or lowes parking lots, pick one or two up and show them the chips and ingredients and they will understand. Or just say "hacer la salsa" over and over with cutting motions

>> No.7631496

I've been making salsa recently too

>3/4 of 2lb of tomatoes
>1/2 large red onion
>3/4-1 bunch fresh cilantro
>2 jalapeno peppers
>juice of 2 limes
>salt
>blend until smooth

>chop rest of onion and dice remaining tomatoes
>add, mix and chill overnight

I've had people ask to buy this salsa

>only mexicans can make good mexican food

when will people stop believing this dumb shit. protip: its fucking lard. cheap mexican food is good because everything is soaked in greasy fat all the time, especially tamales. its easy to make and requires only a few pieces of kitchen equipment.

plus mexicans char the fuck out of their skirt/flank steak and call it carne asada. its overcooked at almost every cheap mexican joint ive been to. still good, of course, but would be better if it wasnt tougher than my shoes.

Raw tomatillo. Fresh cilantro.
avocado, onion, jalapeno, few tablespoons of water, salt and white pepper to taste...blend....super smooth salsa.

tart & crisp. theyre commonly dry roasted in a frying pan to bring out a little smokey flavor. great replacement in Mediterranean sauces that call for regular tomatoes...unripe green tomatoes taste completely different since tomatillos arent actually toamtoes..same senpai but way different growing and ripeness,
