corgis are fucking disgusting. i saw a bunch of them with shit stuck on their rear end hair. the owners of the other dogs were really uncomfortable letting their dogs smell the corgi.

I've eaten horse. And I'm pretty sure my cousins have eaten dog, though not 100% certain.
I've also eaten bear. A neighbour here and I were talking about odd meals we've had and he studied marine biology in the south Pacific. Somewhere down there, he tried dog and the way he described the flavour reminded me of my experience with bear. I had it roasted then stewed. It tasted like... well... have you ever smelled burned tallow? Bear tastes like venison combined with that odour of burned tallow and undertones of an unpleasantly bilious bitterness, somewhat similar to fish liver. I understand that diet affects flavour, so perhaps this particular bear subsisted on river fish while another bear that eats something else may have a different taste altogether.
Anyway, minus the fishiness, the neighbour described dog meat in a very similar way: greasy yet paradoxically stringy and with a bilious bitter aftertaste.
