Also, deep dish or stuffed pizza is a novelty. It's a regional specialty that people only eat once in awhile, usually when people visit from out of town and insist they get some. Thin crust Chicago pizza is so much better and is taken seriously as pizza.
That said, I order a stuffed pizza about once a year, eat one piece, and then don't crave it again for another year.

Deep Dish Pizza isn't pizza. While it is hard to do you can actually find a good Deep Dish but I promise you it isn't pizza. The truth is some people just like what they like because it is from where they are from, because the people around them like it, ( other sentimental reasons ) etc. without actually enjoying the product. If a Restaurant can present themselves or one of their products to you while you're enjoying something else ( a game, time with family/friends, drinks, etc. ) you're likely to want to have it again.

I confess to being a total sucker in this regard; Pizza Hut ( yuck ) is very important to me because ( back when they were still good ) my mother's water broke after biting into a piece. The only local pizza place in my neighborhood growing up was a Pizza Hut. To this day ( even though I no longer enjoy their product given it lacks quality ) I'll still buy a Pizza Hut pizza once in a very long while for sentimental reasons much like the majority of people who buy Deep Dish whatever-it-is. Pic related; sadly what I am to the point where my local Pizza Hut sent me a free pizza during a NFL post-season game for being a "top customer" in terms of quantity during my high-school years.

They are not quite as good as getting it there, because of oven differences, but still really damn good.

Their spinach pizza is awesome for this. The sausage does not seem to work as well in the home oven, they do a single large sausage patty like layer on their sausage pizza, and it seems to shrink a lot more at home than there.

They could be, but I prefer to think people just have shit taste and low standards. I'll never forget how people simply would not shut the hell up about Red Lobster's cheddar biscshits. Then I taste them and they're just a fucking biscuit with a little cheese and herbs and too much salt. And when I said they were just okay, they acted like I was clearly insane and just insulted their religious practices.

can a new yorker comment on brooklyn brothers pizza? as a canadian I had it in washington and thought it was absolutely delicious, and I haven't gone without having some really good pizzas, namely some Neapolitan style places in vancouver. but I am wondering if it's somehow better in new york.

>if there's one thing I've learned about literally everyone it's that they have shit taste

No, it sounds more like you only hang around with people who have shit taste, but you deserve them if you didn't realize that Red Lobster was a garbage chain restaurant, before having ever eaten there.

I've had a lot of regular round pizza, both good and bad.

But I don't think I've ever had a bad Sicilian pizza. It just always seems to work out and taste good somehow.

>perfect amount of sauce
>gooey white cheese instead of that greasy orange shit that always peels off the slice in one big nasty scaly piece

Chicago food is flyover food though
>greasy pubgrub
>muh goose island
>muh hot dogs served by swearing blacks
>muh eye-talian beef
Couldn't get more flyover if they served toilet ice from the jets passing overhead on the way to somewhere that matters

Where in Calfornia? Because there's a pretty damn good Chicago style local chain here called "Chicago Fire", and theirs fucking rocks. But yeah, you don't want to eat that too often, it's too heavy for that. I get it a few times a year, maybe 3 or 4.

Are you supposed to eat chicago style pizza with a fork

>> No.7599612

>>7599603

Yes, but you can eat the leftovers cold by hand the next day.

>> No.7599619

>>7599612
The problem with that is that the leftover aren't good COLD, you gotta heat that shit up, unless you really like eating cold cheese.
