Speaking of baguettes, not to derail, but I'm in the mood for a bacon cheeseburger but the only bread I have is half a loaf of fresh baguette that I got this morning. What's /ck/'s stance on using harder breads in place of buns for burgers? Is there an optimum way to capitalize on the combo or is a baguette just too hard to use with the softness of a burger patty?

bread is basically all germans do, if they're not making bread they're making sausages for the bread or they're making beer which is drinkable bread

Supprisingly, the highest quality chicken sandwich happens to be at popeyes. Their bread is thin yet sturdy enough to not rip which is important to me. Only 4 bucks too.

Glad you said that, if they were sprats I would be disappointed that the heads were cut off. In Britain at least, we used to eat sprats whole and fried.

nope. just whole pork shoulders smoked and sauced. they come out of the smoker soft enough that i can just punch them and they fall apart. its pretty gud.
