Flour dredge, beef base, fresh thyme.

Brown the beef in canola, remove from pot, add more canola and add celery and onions. Add thyme and garlic. Stir in chopped fresh thyme. Add can of cream of mushroom and cream of celery soup, and 1 1/2 tablespoons of tomato paste. Add beef base and cup of water. Scrape bottom of pan to mix beef drippings and mix all ingredients and bring to bubbling on medium heat.

Add beer and return beef to pot. Cook for an hour.

Add turnips, potatoes, carrot and cook for an hour and a half on low heat. Enjoy.

I prefer heavy bread. Light fluffy bread just goes to mush... A thick loaf like that can really hold its own soaking up a thick stew broth

How'd that turn out?

Thought it would look more ornate. Good strong texture though.

I made a Guinness based stew with mushrooms, carrot, steak pieces, tomato paste, red onion and garlic with some Rosemary, chipotle powder and Guinness. Tasted great.

This looks good and I would def. eat it and will likely try to make this. Much easier than I know how to make it.

My Oma's Guinness stew was made with Guiness/ beef stock, lamb/vegetable demi-glacé, roux, ...just the beef and mirepoix vegetables, barley, Guinness/beef stock, glacé, then when it's done you put that over cooked potatoes. It's amazing and thick. There's more steps and ingredients I just don't remember right now. My grams always told me to cook potatoes apart from everything else when making stews like this. However, all she did was cook. All the time and she added a lot of steps to her meals that may not be relevant to this. Idk.

They're probably from a car-boot sale. Most shit in the kitchen is stuff people want to get rid of when they get bored of the latest fad.
Icecream makers, bread makers, pasta cranks, blenders, food processors. Good name brand shit that people get for xmas and never use mostly in original packaging.
