Baconed butter

Relative to the dish.

For example last night I made some risotto and the stock I made was seasoned nicely and didn't require additional salt. I used unsalted butter when it came time to add some. If the stock were poorly seasoned I would have used salted butter instead to get some more flavor in the finalization of the dish. It's very dependent on your seasoning, you don't want to overwhelm a dish with salt but at the same time need enough to add flavor. Use some good judgement and carry both in your kitchen.

As a topping, salted. Use in dishes, unsalted.

Why would you buy salted butter when you could always add salt to unsalted butter?

Unsalted. If I need salt, I'll add it. Good luck removing salt from salted butter.

Why not have unsalted butter and ad some salt when needed? What is a fucking point of salted butter? I'm glad we don't have that bullshit here.

>> No.7497000

I bake with salted and just don't add the pinch of salt

Of all the butter packing, I like President the most.

Lurpak is superior in taste though.

Salted. What is this, a trick question? People who prefer unsalted butter should have died in the Holocaust.

>> No.7498007

Salted butter is for people who just sit there eating butter. People who use it for cooking get unsalted so they can control the amount of salt added to the recipe.

>> No.7498014

i bet if you did a blind taste test you couldn't tell which one was salted
