Post your favorite brand of bottled water.

>> No.7438719

While I think bottled water is bullshit, I still like Fiji. But there's a spring near where I live that pumps out the most delicious water I've ever had. The people that own the land don't realise the gold mine they're sitting on top of.

I drink tap water because it's fucking stupid not to. Bottled costs more money, is bad for the environment, and just plain tastes bad (like plastic). Plus, if my glass is empty, I just have to walk ten feet to the sink instead of driving all the way to the store.

I like how people like you put words like that in their "facts". Just shows you have no idea what you're talking about.

How often do you think your pipes are cleaned?
When do you think they were installed?
Where is your water coming from?
How many times is it being treated?
Is it being treated at all?
Does it come from a dedicated drinking water line or dual-purpose pipe(the other purpose is sewage)?

Ya no thanks. Bottled water is a safe bet. And unless you're some kind of broke degenerate, it's very affordable.

Again, companies have been required to say this on their bottles. Go look at a bottle of Dasani. Their water source is "public water sources" or something along those lines.
You know how you avoid water like this? You learn to fucking read. Look for sources like natural springs and rivers.

I think Icelandic is delicious too. Enjoyed it on the plane over (Icelandair), and can buy it now back home at Walgreens and Total Wine.

What I can't stand is Fiji, not sure why everyone likes that one. I understand people only drink Dasani given lack of other options, when it's promoted by the soda stockers.

>Bottled water isn't regulated like tap water and has more shit in it usually you idiot.
The "usually" is pretty naive.

Water quality varies around the world, region to region, even street to street. I lived in Miami which had delicious water, and the lines were regularly cleaned, as >>7439989
>How often do you think your pipes are cleaned?
stated. Lines were flushed regularly, and notices went out to warn people with kidney issues that chlorites would be higher some particular week. No matter where I lived in the county, it was identically delicious.

I live elsewhere in Florida now, and I'm on a cul-de-sac street with bayfront property. My lines deadend, rather than loop on my street. My water is horrible tasting, but it's clearly safe. But, elsewhere in my same city, you'll see toilets with yellow water that look unflushed but arent, and people who complain their water dyes their white clothes. I would never drink from a fountain, and even sometimes avoid iced tea in restaurants. Whether Marco to Naples to Ft. Myers to Tampa, you never know what you should be doing, and it's clearly not the same, town to town. I've lived in northern Virginia, NYC, where I found the tap water delicious, and traveled the world. Major cities seem to have great deep acquifers, or great treatment, one or the other. It's when you head into the suburbs and rural where it can be well water or substandard lines. Some buildings do indeed have old pipes, and so its subjective.

I am not an advocate to be spendy with the habit of bottled water. Use the Brita at home, refillable bottles, but also you should have some bottled water for emergencies, and you should rotate it in and out of your pantry as well. However, it's not any more wasteful than bottled coffee or soda.

Water rights under your property typically extend to your use of that water for your land, animals (and basically unlimited for your use only). Look it up. It'll be a state policy wherever you live to restrict you from pumping out some aquifer for profit or for neighboring places.
