Bagels are just a staple here, as biscuits are in the south. The best part about living in this city is that I can get whatever I want 24/7. Steamed pork bao at 4am, onion biali at 11pm doesn't matter really.

Bagels are just immigrant food, Jews went to larger cities because tenements reminded them of the ghettos they had recently left...made them feel more comfortable.

Most immigrants lived in tenements actually, which were disgustingly over crowded, unkempt and generally crime infested until the 1st American generation was born from said immigrants. White privilege is bullshit terminology considering the conditions most 19th and 20th century Europeans had to endure until they got "their piece of the pie".

TLDR- fuck you bagels are great.
