Like a lot of people, I am on a budget. I was wondering what is the best way to prepare frozen vege that allows it to retain the most nutrients?

Cheers guys. Also sprouts just because I love them, which thankfully are sold so cheap fresh here.

Pretty much this. Of course, you could also let them get to room temp and then do a quick stir fry with a bit of soy sauce and make egg-fried rice.

Isn't it only vitamin a and c that get fucked due to being heat sensitive and water soluble? Thaw them in the fridge or by running them under cold water. If you need to cook them then use a microwave. Wrap in a bowl with seran wrap and cover it completely with no holes. Microwave for 30-60 seconds. It's so rapid and because it's covered and the molecules inside the food are excited, the vitamins neither degrade tremendously or leach away.

Sprouts:

Lightly boil them. While doing this, saute some mushrooms with bacon. Add to this some sour cream and mustard to taste. Drain the sprouts and add them to the pan with the mushrooms, bacon and cream.
