i usually do my french bread pizza like so:

cut bread in half (duh)

toast bread top. usually do this by putting it right up the ass of the broiler so the top gets crusty but the bottom stays good.

mix some sauce and cheese and pressed garlic

put a fat layer of pepperoni on top of sauce

put a good layer of cheese on top

bake in 425 for 20m
