I keep bees, and have had a professional researching position with honeybees.

I highly recommend getting into beekeeping, and I can answer hella bee-style questions.

Also, I have a degree in microbiology, and honey is as close to sterile as any other food you eat.

Bees only fly as far as they have to in order to collect nectar. The honey producers grow ample flowers for the bees to live from. There's probably a requirement in the organic certification that the plants within x number of feet must be organic or something along those lines.
