canned sardines are really hit or miss but you generally get what you pay for.

I have never had them from a tin/canned. Only fresh and grilled with citrus. It was good.

I get the sardines packed with olive oil at Costco. Top some garlic rice with them and some scrambled eggs for a quick morning meal.

I do, I don't the ones with added sauce though. I stick to the smoked ones in either oil or water, drain that off and use it with other things. They're damn good on pizza or on garlic bread for instance. IMO, they're a lot better than anchovies which are way too salty for me.

And the people who complain about the bones need to harden the fuck up, they're tiny little things that can't harm you unless you're like John Travolta in the Boy in the Bubble movie or whatever that was called.

I'm not into sardines, but Kippered Herring is pretty awesome. I'd be into most small fish if they were butterflyed and smoked.

I always got those shitty Bumble Bee ones. Or those Louisiana ones. But I'll be fucked if King Oscar arent the best I've had. I just got one (peppered) and yeah, stay away from the cheap shit.
