Do you share them? Do you keep them in the family?

>> No.7026363

I'm estranged from my parents, so can't ask for secret recipes right now.

To answer your question, it would probably come down to butt sex tier intimacy, while having an established friendship prior to the exchange.

My scrabled eggs secret is about 50ml of Worcester sauce with about a tablespoon of salt. It comes out black and tastes horrible, but by the time everyone is focusing on complaining about the shit food I would have made off with the eggs.

>> No.7026400

How much of an autist do you have to be to not tell your family members the recipe if they ask for it?

I mean maybe if your family is scumbags but still

I hate my grandmother with a passion so I keep things from her because she deserves to die without knowing how to properly cook my white sauce.

>> No.7026412

I pass on the majority of the recipe, but if there are little tricks I use in the preparation I usually keep them for myself.

I don't use boiling water when adding egg yolks and I use a colander to strain the pasta.

in in unrelated question, what's the likelihood of my faggot roommates dying from salmonella?

>> No.7026654

I haven't given out any more family recipes, since the last time, I gave a precious one to a friend of mine, with the stipulation that she keep it to herself, and instead she handed it out like candy, plus, she changed some of the recipe for the worse. Never again.

"Secret recipes" are for the kind of people who enter cooking competitions at the State Fair or try to one up each other at church potluck dinners. Usually the secret ingredient turns out to be bullshit, like adding mayo where it doesn't really belong.

I like to toast some wheat bread (no eggs or milk), use garlic salt for seasoning, grill lettuce, tomato, cucumber, and maybe bananas to make a sandwich. IF I have it, I like to add sauerkraut to almost anything, french toast cereal, etc.

Somewhat related, I'm somehow related to the person who invented, or at least brought to America, Texas Hots. My aunts guard it like it requires Top Secret clearance with the CIA to know it.

I just do not fucking get it, all it is is a particular way to make a hotdog, is it really that big of a deal? They're not even that good.

THIS SHIT RIGHT HERE

When people ask for my recipes, I give 'em. No reason not to.
