Best day of the fucking year coming up on Sunday, who's ready? I'm going to be up at 7 this time just to make sure I don't miss anything.

Nah it's when all the halloween candy goes on sale. Only day of the year I can afford to buy candy, and I can buy enough to last until spring with how much I've saved.

The best place to get candy from neighborhood when I was a kid was the dentist's house (more like a miniature mansion tbh). He gave out storage sized plastic bags with the zipper, that had three KING-sized candy bars, a piece of fruit (usually an apple, bananas and oranges spoiled too fast), a full dental kit complete with travel size floss and a tiny mouthwash vial, and a thick informational pamphlet for his dentistry business. He had pretty much hundreds of these bags ready to go since everyone went there for candy, so it was hard for him to remember every costume meaning you could show up more than once. In fact if you showed up really late and he still had lots of spares (he only ever ran out once) then he might give you two at a time.

January: non-candy month

June: non-candy month
July: non-candy month
August: non-candy month
September: non-candy month
October: CANDY (halloween)

why do they give out candy exactly every two months, and why do they skip june and august?

But nobody gives out candy on Easter? Or December. December is more chocolate and even then there is only one or two times when people give out candy for free.

Can't fucking stand how ungrateful kids are these days

Last Halloween I spent the week before the big day in the streets handing out questionairres to children about which chocolates they most wanted for Halloween. Got over 300 responses and discovered M&M's were the most popular choice so I loaded up on them. Half the fucking kids that turned up complained that they were just plan variety M&M's and I know for a fact that I have seen kids eating the exact bags I handed out (I marked them) up to 8 months later, which shows they obviously didn't want them that much
