/ck/ tier polenta?

Throw it all in a pot, cook it for too long with a random selection of herbs and spices. Realize it tastes like shit and throw it out.

Go to McDonald's or order pizza instead.

Or stop being a fucking retard, google "polenta recipes", pick one that sounds good and follow it.

You are from Reddit but I am going to answer your question anyway:

You make it the same way you'd make grits.

>Heat some milk (about a half a cup for 1 person). dont fucking burn it. you can use cream or 2:1 milk to cream if you want.
>Fry off some finely diced red onion, and capsicum. finely chop a tomato.
>Whisk polenta into the hot milk until its a delicious paste, and all the polenta grains have kind of dissolved. Cook it out for a couple of minutes, all the while stirring.
>Season, add the fried onion and capsicum and the tomato, give it a good mix
You can serve it like this straight away, or:
>Spread the polenta on a greaseproof paper-lined shallow tray, spread it evenly about an inch think or up to 2" thick.
>Let it cool in the fridge for a couple hours, or overnight.

Then cut it into the size you want (can use a circular pastry cutter / cookie cutter to make circular patties) Fry the polenta cakes on both sides, so it goes golden, then finish in the oven for about 5 min. Serve with whatever else is in your meal (goes great with chicken and jus)

oh yeah you can add parmesan into your polenta to make it ever better. make sure to taste it and season if necessary.
