I feel you, partly. From what I can tell I dislike most large brewery bottled beers. If they are taped from a barrel some of them are good to go, but I just can't stand the shit they sell. A friend of mine then told me about a brand I've never heard before. I got a bottle and behold, it's a great beer! I guess it's up to how you roll, just try out different beers and settle with the one you enjoy.

The first beer I ever had was a Guinness and I think it was a bad choice for a beginner. Tasted exactly like bread-flavored soda. It was really unpleasant and turned me off of beer since then. If someone knowledgable gave me a list of starter beers I'd probably try to get back into it but otherwise it's not my thing.
