How do you spice up your Ramen? I've been adding shit to pic related with varied results, any suggestions?

>> No.6994471

Soft boil an egg in it, add scallions, garlic, truffle or other mushrooms, shrimp, mackerel, beef, pork, soft tofu...shit, almost anything really.

I stand firm against adding American cheese though.

If it's a chicken one like that I add some rotisserie chicken and a diced jalapeno or whatever hot pepper I have on hand and some garlic and some diced red onion.

First of all chuck the shitty oil they give you in the bin.

Fill a pan with 1.5l of water and make it boil

Chuck in all the stupid shit you like. Mushrooms, chicken, scrambled egg, whatever. Make sure to heavily spice anything you can or it'll taste bland as shit

Add 2 boullion cubes matching the flavor of whatever noodles you picked. Also chuck in the noodle spices for good measure. This would also be a good point to add the noodles, depending on how long you want them cooked. For 1.5l I'd say 2 to 3 packets is optimal.
Make sure to break the noodle bricks into pieces or you'll get long ass strands and make a huge mess.

Now add in some red bean paste, to taste. 3-4 teaspoons works for me but I like my stuff spicy.

Works as lunch for 3-4 people.

For chicken? Pepper, garlic, and sesame oil. Then top with soft-boiled egg and green onion. It's kind of a pain to get the egg just right where the whites are firm but the yolk is still runny and it won't fall apart when you peel it.

For beef I murder the bitch with sriracha add a ton of lime juice, a little bit of chili oil, and top it with green onion.
