You have to have a really shit immune system for this to actually have any effect on you. You probably already have it and don't even know dumbass.

>> No.6977635

I would, my favorite restaurant is at a stables and vineyard and there are a bunch of barn cats that come up and get scratchings but have amazingly been trained not to beg.

But to be honest I think it's a bad idea. Animals and the public mix badly. I can imagine animal and human injuries animal euthanasias because of th injuries, cat hair in food, the contraction of diseases and more fun like that.

But personally I would go because I just like cats that much and wouldn't do anything stupid.

I would imagine they usually are. To run that sort of establishment they've probably got to stay above the board. But I have to imagine there would be cat hair/dander incidents. I wouldn't mind, I have cats, I probably inhale 30 cat hair a night or something like that. However clean it is they're probably cleaner than my house just because I'm not running a business in my home. But I bet non-cat "normies" get their panties in a twist on occasion. And I can't imagine there is a cat alive that could be 100 percent trusted not to haul off and bite some idiot who doesn't know how to handle it.

I've been to Purrington's in Portland Oregon with some friends. The food was okay, but it was more about just being able to say we did it. It was well run, clean, the cats could come and go as they pleased, and there was someone watching the whole time. They usually charge a few bucks to get in but they didn't charge us that day since they had a shortage of cats.

Do they adopt the cats out or are these outside cats that come and go?

>> No.6981751

>>6981737
I think they get them from the local shelters. But I also believe all the cats are open for adoption as well to visitors. Problem is, that the cats that have become accustomed to customers and have learned to be chill in the environment get taken away and replaced with fresh and usually skittish cats. Haven't been, but I plan to go sometime.

>animal and human injuries animal euthanasias because of the injuries
That would only happen in the US, where common sense is lost and suing everything that breathes is a national sport. Back here on the continent dogs are a common sight in pubs and bars, same with cats, and there have never been any incidents.

However pets are not allowed in restaurants (or in the dining area of a pub/bar) because of health and safety. I have no idea how that cafe got the papers for that. It's not just about the cats being rid of fleas and internal parasites. They shit in a box, then dig around in it to cover their shit, then they walk around all over your table and it's just... nasty. I mean, I love cats, I've had 5 of them, but they were never allowed on tables and counters or anywhere that had food placed on it. Common sense, man.

That is freaking adorable. 10/10 would dine at.

I love cats but hate cleaning litter boxes. This is best of both worlds. Cats to pet and play with, and no litter worries.

I think people at my uni would. Many miss having cats around. The college hosts cat and dog petting nights before exam weeks, where they get a bunch of animals and let students come play with them, and it's hugely popular.

My local shelter accepts volunteers and one of the volunteers' jobs is playing with the cats. By the time I got there after school everything else had already been done (they'd close in half an hour) so they just had me playing with the cats. They've got little rooms for potential adopters to interact freely with the animals. Except the feral ones. People who work in shelters can't exactly go around and give each individual animal the attention it wants and needs. Could be something for you to look into.

>cat stairs

This makes me giddy. It must be awesome to be a cat in a place like that. I wish we had this sort of stuff for adults. All sorts of bridges and platforms and catwalks and ramps. Except people are stupider than cats and would fall off and sue.

>>6984235

Probably would be a huge boon. I'd try it if I were a masochist who wanted to subject myself to customer service to liberal millennials.

>>6984243

Maybe, but I'm very lazy and they may ask me to clean up poop. Wiping my own ass is quite enough. Shelters are so heartbreaking, too. You want to save them all.

That's fine. If you ever change your mind about it I'm sure there will be no shortage of cats in shelters any time soon.

If I wasn't mildly allergic to cats, then yes. The only time it got really bad was when I was volunteering at a pet shelter with 20 cats in one room, and even then I just had extremely watery red eyes and was sneezing non stop. Any other allergy anons have luck with taking allergy medication and then going? I'd definitely take it for a week before hand if I needed too. Cats are so cute.
