I traveled to rome and naples and expected delicious food that was better that any italian food I've *ever* tasted.

I remember being sick for a week after eating a plate of pasta with chunks of some canned dogfood smelling substance smeared all through it.

I have no idea whatsoever how such a demeaning mishap could ever come to pass. With that being said you can't walk into a random Italian restaurant expecting the best Italian food. That's like foreigners walking into a random burger joint in the US expecting to eat the best burger they've ever had.
