Has anyone ever had this before? $25 for two 32oz bottles of it. I'm pretty busy with school and work so I never have time to make coffee in the morning and I would prefer not to make my own because I don't own a coffee grinder.

Considering cold brew has more caffeine than an average cup of coffee, I would probably have 4oz a morning. Two bottles at 32oz would be 16 cups at about $1.50 per cup.

Is this Seaworth Cold Brew Coffee good? Is it worth $25 for 64oz of it?

then you're a goddamn idiot. you can make enough cold brew in advance through the weekend to last you the entire week. the only thing about it that takes time or effort is filtering out the grounds at the end of the process.

just go buy a fucking coffee grinder and start making your own. you'll start saving money pretty quickly over this premade brand shit, and if you get fresh and delicious beans, it'll taste much better.

You can get a workable french press for 10 bucks, and it's much more essential to the process of having good coffee than using a burr grinder at home.
buy whole bean, grind it at the store and use your french press at home.
You've now spent 15 bucks and gotten more coffee than you would for all 25 bucks you're trying to spend on this.

bro

Most (if not all) grocery stores have a section where you can grind your own beans. Many you can even select the grind, you want a french press grind if I remember correctly. You don't need a press either, just a large (prefferably plastic or glass) container.

I will even look up a recipe for you.

http://www.chowhound.com/recipes/basic-cold-brewed-coffee-30487

tl,dr:
Pour 3 1/2 cups cold water over 4 1/2 ounces of coffee grinds. Let steep 14 hours.

if using french press: now press down on plunger
if using any container without plunger: strain though colander or cheesecloth or whatever you want to remove the coffee grounds with.

boom.

http://allrecipes.com/recipe/233721/cold-brewed-coffee/

this one calls for a 1/2 pound of coffee and 4 1/2 cups of cold water.

As you can see, customize it to what you want. Also, as a broke college student, most "fancy" places sweeten their coffee with sweetened condensed milk. I found an image of it for you, it should be in the canned goods aisle.

Hope that helps, you will be saving a great deal of money. If you look in a local market or just don't buy expensive ass starbucks coffee you can get it around $6 per pound, but I will humor you and go for a calculation based on $8 per pound. Once recipe calls for a half pound of coffee grounds and makes roughly 36 ounces of coffee. Therefore, one $8 bag of coffee will make 72 ounces of coffee total.

This is why I hate coming to /ck/. Nobody wants to just answer the question at hand, everyone just wants to whine and bitch like little autists throwing a temper tantrum in a mall.

I don't feel like spending $50 on a burr grinder and another $10-30 for a French press right now. I would prefer to just buy this stuff for now to see if I even like cold brew coffee before buying decent coffee making equipment.

Again, I did not ask for your opinion on what to do with my money. I do not care. All I care about is if anyone here has tried the stuff and thinks it's good. Apparently you haven't, and you would rather shit post instead. I don't care if it is cheaper in the long run to make my own. I don't care if it is "easier". I don't care about whatever stupid namecalling you're going to respond to this post with.

Shit, I make an entire gallon once a week because my wife and I drink cold brew like crazy. Speaking of which, I need to go filter the batch I put on yesterday.

You can make cold brew with a god damn cup and a coffee filter or sieve even.

Trust me, you will like cold brew. It is far less bitter than normal hot brewed coffee.

BTW, that's a fucking ripoff for that cold brew you are talking about. Almost every iced coffee in the store is cold brew these days. You could just buy Starbucks cold plain coffee for a lot less.

Don't imply someone else is asshurt. People are attempting to educate you on your poor choice of money spending in the realm of thinking that you are trying to spend the absolute minimum amount of money.

For about the fourth time (stated) in this thread, you do not need a goddamn burr grinder. You do not even need a french press. You literally need a fucking water carrying device and something vaguely colander like or vaguely gauze like, and it will cost you about 1/10 to 1/8 of the cost of buying this shit.

All this thread is stating is you are buying a product marketed to retarded hipsters who want the newest thing in a meme bottle or housewives who have lost all touch with reality and to whom money is meaningless because they do not need to budget.

>to answer your question

It will taste like any other type of cold brewed coffee. It is all remarkably similar. Feel free to purchase it in whatever form or price you deem fit, since apparently I have to remind you that your finances are your own.

No, this is just what happens when you make a shitty fucking thread. If you didn't actually want any opinions or advice, then don't make a thread asking for it.

When you say money is tight, so people give you cheaper, viable options, then you literally create excuses for why those options won't work, then youre just being a cunt who wanted validation for making a stupid fuckin purchase.

People tell you you can get a french press for $10. You respond by saying you're tight on money and "it comes out to $1.50 a cup." So you can get 7 cups of coffee for the price of your french press that will last you years.

Just shut the fuck up, buy your coffee that will cost you $50+/month instead of $10 once, then ask mommy and daddy to put more money in your checking account, and then, finally, delete this thread.

Actually, delete this thread before you do any of that other shit.

Things you need to know:
If you're going with a french press, you'll need to use the coarsest grind available.
the coffee will taste different than even the same coffee being used for hot brew. I think it's better, but don't expect it to taste the same as pouring a cup from your coffee maker and sticking it in the fridge.
You can use any coffee you like. I think a medium roast comes out best, but this is obviously subjective. start with any coffee that you like.
The long steep will make it much stronger in terms of caffeine, but it won't be bitter, so keep that in mind for your drinking portions. heating it up for hot coffee, you should probably cut it about 50/50 with hot water. Drinking it cold is fine, but either dilute or consume on a scale more akin to wine or beer than coffee normally.
