This wonderful, and potent IPA from Athens, GA based Terrapin Brewery. If you're ever on the east coast or down south PLEASE don't hesitate to try anything these guys put out. You can also tour the Brewery and sample all of their beers.

Honorable mention: Sierra Nevada's Oktoberfest.

Bells best brownale. I am a huge fan of brown ales and this one is pretty good. Extremely balanced on malt/hops. Black Market's shakedown is slightly better imo. Brewing a brown ale with japanese barley tea (mugicha) tommorow hope it turns out well! Pic is my favorite lately.

Drinking is part of the culture and the food is top notch if you know where to go. Hit up Han Dynasty for some top notch chinese (szechuan style, spicy as shit and delicious) and then hit up a bar.

Very malty, but I've not had an imperial that was "hoppy" except for maybe Old Rasputin which is probably why it's so popular, it's the closest stout to an IPA.

I agree with this sentiment, bought 2 bottles last year. Had one then and felt it was a bit to bitter compared to alot of other american Imperials. Going to have the other bottle soon as it´s birthday is coming up!

Pic related is what is in the glass now, Local IPA. I really like alot of the stuff this brewery puts out and this is one of their hoppiest offerings to date. Quite good and refreshing at the abv it sits at.

Do so. The KBS is really one that should be on top of that list as it seems to loose so much coffee tones quickly, well that and the bourbon being kind of tame on it also (read that they use old barrels for a second go around).

Cracked this one open and oh boy, it does say barley wine, but this is really a thicker more malty Imperial IPA. The malt sweetness rounds the bitterness right off making it dangerously easy to drink!
