I need some ideas for chicken and salad sammiches. The weather is heating up here and throughout winter I've made batches of soup, stews, curries etc for work lunches.

I'm getting bored of chicken, lettuce, carrot, tomato and mayo sammiches, so hoping to get some recipe ideas for "sandwich spreads" that perhaps don't even contain mayo, but it's ok if they do.

I usually buy a BBQ chicken from the supermarket and it lasts me a week. What about shredding the meat, putting it into a food processor with some interesting flavours then scooping it into the sammiches and adding salad.

Anyone done this before? Just looking to flavour smashed up chicken I guess, just because it's different.

>food processor

Does that make it that much better that shredding by hand? Never tried it just wondering if I am missing out on something

Not at all. In this case it sounds like he's wanting to puree it into a spread, though.
