This is an aggressive ale. You probably won’t like it. It is quite doubtful that you have the taste or sophistication to be able to appreciate an ale of this quality and depth. We would suggest that you stick to safer and more familiar territory–maybe something with a multi-million dollar ad campaign aimed at convincing you it’s made in a little brewery, or one that implies that their tasteless fizzy yellow beverage will give you more sex appeal. Perhaps you think multi-million dollar ad campaigns make things taste better. Perhaps you’re mouthing your words as you read this.

At Stone Brewing, we believe that pandering to the lowest common denominator represents the height of tyranny - a virtual form of keeping the consumer barefoot and stupid. Brought forth upon an unsuspecting public in 1997, Arrogant Bastard Ale openly challenged the tyrannical overlords who were brazenly attempting to keep Americans chained in the shackles of poor taste. As the progenitor of its style, Arrogant Bastard Ale has reveled in its unprecedented and uncompromising celebration of intensity. There have been many nods to Arrogant Bastard Ale…even outright attempts to copy it… but only one can ever embody the true nature of liquid Arrogance!

Ladies and Gents, may I present to you, the laziest attempt at viral marketing on one of the slowest boards on 4chan.

As soon as I read the first sentence, I knew this was exactly from the bottle.

Arrogant Bastard is overrated and overpriced. It's good, but it's not worth the $. Which is pretty much my criticism for any Stone beer.

Only exception would be the Odd Year stouts.

>> No.6892433

>>6892424

Pretty much everything they do is better than Stone's equivalent. I like Xocoveza and the grapefruit IPA and Gotterdammerung but the rest is eh. Dogfish is much more consistent. That Arrogant Bastard label is pretentious as hell too.

I did pick up the elderberry beer they just came out with but I haven't drank it yet. Could be alright.

What does this even mean? I mean, I know what it literally means, but I have no idea what this sentence has to do with the rest of the paragraph.

What faggots.

This beer is pretty good. A bar near me has $3 anything happy hours, which is a great deal for Manhattan, and I always go and get 3 or 4 pints of arrogant bastard to get me buzzed for $12. Its the best beer they offer, though.

The writing is set up to belittle consumers, ironically. It's literally insulting your intelligence. It assumes since you most likely drink Bud Light that you are also semiliterate.

This was me the first time I bought it. I was freshly 21 with pretty much 0 beer experience. I wish I could've been a bystander in that.
On a side note, whenever I get an ipa and I'm with someone who has never had one or who only drinks macro stuff, I get them to try a sip and the face they make is pretty funny.

Their green tea ipa made me cum my pants. It was beyond great. Perfect green tea flavor melding with the fresh hops.

I'd pay up to 15 dollars just to taste it again.

un-distilled alcohol has more flavor than spirits. Half of the tasting notes in spirits and shit are just made up to act like a snob. The fact of the matter is that distillation destroys almost all of the flavor in something

Their labels are intentionally cringe worthy. It's a big joke. The writing is typically pretty damn funny when you read as a joke, like you should.

But yeah, their Chai was great. Got it cheap when I bought 4 3floyds bombers at my local store. My guy threw it in for an even 45. Pretty great deal.

Chai seems to be a lot easier to work with than most other tea. It does have a pretty big flavor that can cut through a lot of stuff.
