Not over here. You buy as much precut strips of raw steak you want. Theres a small round charcoal grill on every table that you cook with all your friends and family. They prepare the grill and serve you all the side dishes and basket full of lettuce and sesame leaves

its called a fillet mignon, and the reason you see it is because its a very small portion of the cow that is tender and delicious when cooked right that is known for being very expensive, so the restaurants you see tend to be the classier and pricer of the variety.

meanwhile, if you want to know what american quantity looks like. prime rib is the best example of what you order when you want a lot of meat.

Considering we indiscriminately allow immigrants from all over the globe, we have thousands of restaurants of all cultures. And yes they are authentic because they are owned and operated by people from all over the globe. You're acting like a Jap, stop that.
As an American of Korean decent, I can honestly say you are misinformed. Grew up in Busan and Seoul, and the food is by no means superior, and there is actually much less variety. The food I ate in Korea was pretty damn good, but trying to compare it to the variety you find in the USA is just absurd. I have 2 Korean steakhouses and 2 asian grocers within a couple blocks of my home, and I live in the midwest.

Maybe you should just go stand in line for 2 hours to get some mediocre omurice. Or stand in line for 4 hours to get into Lotte World for some fair food. Hell, you could stand in line for 3 hours, to ride a rail cart for 30minutes to get to the temple on top of that huge fucking hill in Seoul so you can eat some glutenous rice sticks in gochujang and wash it all down with a pocari sweat that hasn't been cold since last winter.

I am glad I moved to the US as a child.

>>6891870
Nah 5 years isn't long at all, but I haven't returned since 2008. And you all wait in huge lines don't even lie. Lines that no American would have the patience for. You have a shit load of people and damn near no space for them, so you all cram into the few services you have and try to make the best of a blatantly bad situation. Now, Korea does have a lot of good things going for it, but you're just being an idiot and you clearly haven't been across the US. Keep in mind that the US is literally 50 times larger than SK, we got the space, we got the diversity. When I was in SK I barely saw non-Korean anywhere. And when I did they were usually US soldiers. Itaewon had a few Europeans there for the shopping but no where near the tourism that NYC or LA bring in. Don't get me wrong, I love SK, but c'mon. You're just being stupid, and you know it. There is no one who could ever possibly think that SK has more variety than the US, thats the kinda close minded retarded thinking you'd expect from the japanese.

Also we have pretty much everything Koreans have and more as far a culinary shit goes. The only thing impressive about Korea is the fast as shit internet and the street food down at the coastal areas.

>> No.6891930

Nah dude, nah. Last time I was in SK the students were out and there were lines for EVERYTHING. Lotte world had signs announcing that if the line was at this point it was at least a 3 hour wait, and the line was a good 50m past the sign. The airsoft shooting galleries were fun, but once again, huge fucking lines, about a hour to spend 7 minutes shooting plastic BBs. Stayed at the Westin Chosun beach resort for the second half of the trip. The beach was packed with people, in the worst way possible. The women were mostly wearing shirts over their swimsuits while a great many of the guys wore speedos. Gay as fuck. Decided to go to this movie theater next to an Aquarium, again huge lines. Great theater food, had some buttered squid and a coffee. Cant get that in the states. The movie was even in english. Then I decided to get some dinner. So i walked down the beach looking for a restaurant, but i didnt even have to look. every fucking shop had some asshole outside of it trying to get people to come in, they'd get in your way, block you, grab your arms and pull you towards to door. Not cool. Keep your fucking paws off me. In the US this would end in violence or a lawsuit. Plus Korean riot police were fucking everywhere, especially in Seoul. There were days when I could feel the teargas in the air as the students were once again rioting about nothing.

That sounds good, but still nowhere near good as American style. 20oz ribeye with just salt, pepper, and a little oil to pan sear(grilling is for people who can't cook), roasted vegetables, usually broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, and mushrooms with lots of paprika, garlic, and a little msg.
