I can't quite crack these guys, /ck/. I love 'em sweet but can't for the life of me figure out how to cook them without making them taste like burnt shit. Help?

Slice them thin and cook in butter and sugar, S&P, and whatever herbs you want.

Don't bump /ck/. If you have nothing to add just leave it be, for fuck's sake.

microwave. srs.

Try blanching them in salted water then add to stir fries and curries.

Also raw carrot with dip.

Also baby carrots with jus or steak sauce. Preferably as a side to steak.

I just steam them for maximum nutrients.

In the last carrot thread someone said that ginger and carrot is a proven combination. I can now confirm this as absolutely accurate. Thank you, anon. Wherever you are.

Really I just eat them in beef stew and curry.

Last Thanksgiving my aunt made some curried carrots with a yogurt dip that was really good.

This

Amazing things seem to happen to dirt rockets in the microwave. Slice first obviously. Serve with butter and herbs if you want, after they are cooked.

Ginger ale+butter

Curry powder goes well with them because of close plant relation

Super?

>> No.6886197

cook them in a 2:1:1 ratio with onion, carrots and celery. It just works

>> No.6886201

Have you tried boiling them in RO water (fluoride free)? You could add whatever spices I'd imagine the carrots would absorb the taste from the boiling process.

Plus, you've got flavored water afterwards too.

Anyone else just love to eat these raw?

If you boil them, boil them whole, then slice/mash/do whatever once they're cooked. Less sugars escape than if you slice them first.

Roasted with just oil, salt, pepper, then tossed with honey once they're cooked is good too.

Always lots of butter however you cook them.
